Estado

Gnash continúa en estado beta pero reproduce "la mayoría" de los archivos SWF. El estado beta se refiere a la estabilidad de Gnash y soporta hasta la version 8 de SWF. El soporte para versiones superiores de SWF están bajo arduo desarrollo, pero muchas películas SWF9 funcionan bien.

Gnash funciona como reproductor independiente y como plugin de Mozilla, Firefox, Epiphany, Iceweasel y Konqueror. Ha sido portado a muchos variantes de Unix y corre sobre arquitecturas 32-bits y 64-bits. El reproductor independiente es también conocido por trabajar en win32 y Darwin.

La versión más reciente (0.8.5) reproduce streaming de sitios de video como YouTube.

Gnash no soporta actualmente:

Nellymoser compresión de audio, ej. cualquier audio grabado desde el micrófono de un usuario de Adobe Flashplayer.

Bazaar repository should be available from savannah, but the link is wrong (missing "/trunk")

- Web access to the Bazaar repository is an experimental feature. Furthermore, web access to the current development branch (/trunk) is broken.
